Jim Reeves Tribute
There will only ever be one Jim Reeves, although many singers have tried to emulate this unique voice.
There are no carbon copies, no look alike and no replacement.
Jim Reeves was certainly the most important performer in Country music history. In no small way, he played an important role in the world acceptance of Country music. He opened the door for many of today's leading entertainers.
Today, fifty years after his untimely death, his records are still sold internationally all over the world.
I think that says it all. In Jim's own words; "We thank thee"

In 1984 I made the first of many trips to Nashville. With David Bussey, former UK fan club president, and with the help of Joyce Jackson, Jim's personal secretary, I had the opportunity of meeting and of spending time with some wonderful well known people, and, I might add, not one of them with an inflated ego. They were just down-to-earth and fun to be around. Over the years, Jim's music has opened the door to many new friends from all over the world. In the gallery I share some of these magic times.
I met Tony in 1984 when he came to Nashville to visit us at Jim Reeves Enterprises, but corresponded before as an avid fan of Jim and his music.
In this selection of Jim Reeves songs, Tony has done himself and Jim proud as he has captured the “Reeves” feel and sincerity of each song and in my opinion this is one of the very best tributes to Jim that I have ever listened to. There will never be another Jim Reeves and Tony doesn’t claim to be, but as you listen to his cd you will know what I’m saying about the feel and sincerity that Tony gives each selection.
Tony has been very instrumental in helping to keep the memory of Jim’s music alive especially in the UK and for that I am most grateful and I know family, friends and fans feel the same as I do.Tony, you have done good!! Thanks
Joyce Jackson, Secretary to Jim Reeves from January 29th 1958 until Jim’s untimely death July 31st 1964 and remained with Jim Reeves Enterprises until January 1988
